No. Some formulas level out after application, while others hold the shape you give them with the brush. Check the consistency and levelling properties of the particular gel before choosing it.
Use the compatible lamp and curing time specified in the instructions for your gel. A curing time given for gel polish is not a substitute for the instructions for a builder gel.
Use acetone only if the instructions explicitly say the gel is soak-off. Otherwise, follow the removal method specified for that product. Never peel the gel off or force it away from the natural nail.
