Milky nails look simple, but the cleanest result depends on controlled preparation and thin, even layers. The aim is a softly translucent finish that brightens the nail without turning it into flat, opaque white.

Milky nails step by step
1. Prepare the nail plate
Shape the free edge, gently prepare the natural nail and remove all dust. Do not over-file. Product left on the skin or dust trapped at the sidewalls can weaken adhesion and spoil the clean outline.
2. Control moisture and adhesion
Apply Nail Dehydrator sparingly and allow it to evaporate fully. If the nail tends to lift, add a very small amount of Ultimate Hold Acid-Free Nail Primer without touching the skin and let it air-dry. More primer does not mean better adhesion.
3. Build a smooth nude foundation
Apply a thin slip layer of Rubber Base Cashmere, then add only enough product to level the surface. Keep the outline clean and cure according to the product label and lamp parameters. A smooth base is what makes the later milky veil look even.
4. Add the rose quartz veil
Apply a thin, even layer of Top Milky Shine over the cured base. Its semi-transparent tint should soften the colour rather than hide it. Check the reflection line before curing and correct any uneven distribution immediately.
5. Cure and assess the finish
Cure according to the label and the lamp you use. Top Milky Shine is a no-wipe top coat, so there is no sticky layer to remove. Inspect the sidewalls and free edge, then finish the service with cuticle care after curing.
Three details that decide the final result
- A thick base can distort the nail architecture. Level with control and remove excess before curing.
- An uneven top layer creates cloudy patches. Use a thin, continuous coat and check the light reflection.
- Flooded cuticles reduce durability and look untidy. Keep every layer away from the skin.
